Sara Baird shares her findings on the Olight designed the Baton 3 Pro 1500 Lumens Rechargeable Flashlight.
Who can’t use a little more light in their life? A flashlight, lantern, or headlamp can make a break your experience on a camping trip, hike, or adventure. Here in Minnesota, our daylight hours get very short in the winter. I find that a flashlight or headlamp becomes necessary to experience any outdoor activity during the week since the sun is just rising as I go to work and is setting as I come home. When Otlight asked me to try out the Baton 3 Pro 1500 Lumens Rechargeable Flashlight I thought I could put it to the test. The flashlight arrived within a week and was easy to open and charge once it arrived.

The Baton 3 Pro Features
Olight designed the Baton 3 Pro 1500 Lumens Rechargeable Flashlight with a long runtime, to be lightweight, and to be easy to charge and store. It has a max 1,500-lumen output and a throw of 175 meters. It will run for 120 days on the lowest setting. It is small and light at less than 4 inches long and weighing less than 4 ounces. It has an easy-to-use charger that attaches with a magnet to the end of the flashlight. It also comes with a bracket it will attach to with the magnet to hand it is an easily accessible location.
Testing It Out
The flashlight was easy to open and the instructions were clear on how to use the charger. I plugged it in in the morning and found it was fully charged by the afternoon that day. I decided to hang the bracket by my front door since I planned to use the flashlight for walking after dark. The flashlight hung well on the bracket and it made it easy to access it but I actually found that the flashlight was so light and compact that it just worked to leave it in the pocket of the jacket I wear when walking. That is nice because I don’t need to worry about forgetting it and wishing I had it after dark.
I usually wear a headlamp while walking in the winter darkness because a flashlight can be hard to hold. This flashlight was light and easy to hold so it was great to be able to pull it out and turn it on when I needed it. I did like the control of being able to easily turn it on and off. I don’t have that kind of control with a headlamp without taking it off. The light was bright and made it easy to see when I hit icy parts of the trail. It even saved me from walking through some dog waste someone didn’t pick up in the middle of the trail.
I have been walking daily after dark for 40 – 60 minutes for over two and a half months and I have not needed to charge the battery. I will plug it in this week to make sure that I don’t get stuck without light since there is no way to know how much battery life is left. This is an impressive battery life, especially since temperatures have ranged between 20-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
My Recommendation
This is a great little flashlight that will serve many purposes. The quick charge time and long battery life make it a great light to have around for emergencies. If you use the bracket for storage you will always know where your flashlight is. The charger is super easy to use, but I do wish that it could be charged with the standard USB-C charger that everything else I own uses. It is just one more thing I need to make sure I have with me.
This will be a great flashlight to have in my camper, I love that I can hang it by the door and grab it whenever necessary. What I appreciate most is the small size with the bright light and choice of light settings. It makes it easy to have it available when it gets dark. It is also super easy to handle, even when walking my dog. You can check it out for yourself at https://www.olightstore.com/baton-3-pro-small-rechargeable-flashlight
